Embracing shade in Sydney gardens

Though shade is often seen as a liability in the garden, I've come to realise it is actually an asset. Indeed, it is the favoured position for many beautiful plants and is essential for creating a more comfortable environment for us to live and garden in during hot summers.

My new ebook Embracing shade in Sydney gardens has over 100 pages of detailed information to help you understand the different types of shade and describes plants for every layer of the garden: from trees down to groundcovers, and even shade-loving edibles.

The book describes hundreds of plants that suit the various microclimates that you may encounter - or create. I discuss planting ideas for using foliage and flowers to create the effect you want and show that it's possible to really take advantage of the shady environment. What's more, while reading the pdf there are links provided for many of the plants so you can access detailed cultivation notes directly from my website.

I'm sure you'll find plenty to interest you and give you the practical information to garden successfully with shade.

I finished reading the book last night. Full of relevant info and well-written, I really enjoyed it, and will put it to good use. I have especially gained some help in what plants I would like to plant, so thank you!

A well researched book, which is packed with helpful information for shady gardens and how to start one. A great read as well as a good reference for shade loving plants - those Frost-sensitive and those Frost-resilient and how to mix the two to make an interesting garden. Thanks.
