Acer dissectum "Filigree"

Started by Judi - 2774 Saturday, 02 November 2013

I live near Blaxland in the lower Blue Mountains. Summer temperatures are similar to those of Penrith and Richmond, i.e. can be quite hot. I want to buy the green weeping Acer Palmatum Dissectum "Filigree" which I know would appreciate partial shade but I can"t give it that. I have an Inaba Shidare which does tolerate full sun in a location near to where I want to plant "Filigree", but would it stand up to the sun if I kept it well watered and mulched? I don"t want anything that grows as wide as "Viridis" or "Waterfall".
