Planning a front fence line

Started by Jean - 2077 Thursday, 04 May 2017

Hello I am looking for some advice please. I have finally gotten rid of a very large and old liquid amber that dominated my front yard (just inside the front fence). The space now available is 12 metres. I would like to plant 2/3 small trees with some shrubs in between, this will act as my front fence. I like the idea of flowering crab apples/chanticleer pears but am worried the climate in Sydney is too warm for them. (I am near Hornsby) Has anyone successfully grown these trees or should I think about alternatives olives/macadamia crepe myrtles? Any other suggestions/advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance Jean
